Responsible for providing operational/field/technical support of selected R/W for the purpose of vegetation control by the use of herbicides.
Essential Job Tasks:
Responsible for the implementation of the vegetation management program for the electric distribution system.
Oversees and directs the activities of contract vegetation management services.
Oversees and directs the activities of contract herbicide application services.
Applies herbicides to a selection of distribution rights of way.
Uses the necessary tools and technologies prescribed for the evaluation, measurement and control of utility right of way vegetation.
Meets and communicates well with property owners and other stake holders on behalf of the vegetation management program.
Uses acquired knowledge to communicate and work well with internal line crew personnel to support their objectives for providing safe, reliable power to customers.

Engineering Technician A
High school diploma/GED + 8 years related experience or Associate's Degree + 6 years related experience or Bachelor's Degree + 4 years related experience required.
Must posses a South Carolina Pesticide Applicators License within 1 year of hire.
Related work experience and a working knowledge of equipment used for mechanical and chemical vegetation control preferred.
Must obtain within 1 year of hire the qualification of ISA Certified Arborist
High school diploma/GED + 5 years related experience or Associate's Degree + 3 years related experience or Bachelor's Degree +1 years related experience required.
Must posses a South Carolina Pesticide Applicators License within 1 year of hire.
Related work experience and a working knowledge of equipment used for mechanical and chemical vegetation control preferred.
Must obtain within 1 year of hire the qualification of ISA Certified Arborist
