Advanced Cyber Operations Course Instructor

Key Role:
Drive a multi-year technical training and assessment program. Leverage instructional systems design strategies and computer network operations experience to help magnify clients' cyber training capabilities. Collaborate with military leadership, technical experts, and operational colleagues. Build, validate, implement, and evaluate critical training programs for advanced learners who are motivated to grow their skillset. Train developers as a part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team producing highly sophisticated, technical, hands-on training solutions to meet the mission and time-critical needs of the client. Work as a developer as a part of the instructional team providing classroom instruction that teaches assigned students in the manner described in the Program of Instruction. Use operational expertise to foster a team environment of learning, progress, inclusion, and excellence and help to build the next generation of cyber warriors.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) or Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO)

  • 2+ years of experience with developing, testing, managing, operating, or training of networked hardware and software systems

  • Experience with creating and configuring virtual hosts and networks using VMware in support of training content development or instructional scenarios

  • Experience with the development, deployment, operations, maintenance, training, or administration of Windows or UNIX-based operating systems

  • Experience with assessing student understanding, skills, and abilities to gauge proficiency in the subject

  • Ability to translate complex concepts or data into graphically appealing and easy-to-understand presentations for a broad range of audiences

  • Ability to navigate in an ambiguous, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with teaching cyberspace operations in a formal classroom setting with Basic Scripting, Buffer Overflows, Fuzzing and Mitigations, Bypassing Security Techniques, Application Vulnerabilities and DLL Injection, or Concealing Evidence, Process Hiding, and Log Cleaning

  • Experience with developing training evaluation metrics

  • Knowledge of commonly used software-programming languages, including Python, PERL, shell scripting, or similar

  • Ability to build consensus and effective cross-functional relationships

  • Ability to adapt content development and delivery for a variety of audiences

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent organizational, project management, analytical, problem-solving, and client-management skills

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
