Associate Order Management Coordinator - Logistics

Job Functions:

  1. Communicate and coordinate order status between logistics and sales
  2. Communicate all schedule changes to engine manufacturing and material planning groups
  3. Fill in for other members of order management as needed
  4. Screen new sales orders and sales order changes for part availability and capacity, and ensure orders are ordered to the latest revision levels and give operations approval to each sales order.
  5. Print build books and associated paperwork for production as required.
  6. Report and track order changes, status and completion
  7. Schedule production lines to optimize production utilization, achieve on time delivery, consider material availability and capacity constraints. Make adjustments daily as needed, and communicate changes to operations, sales and material planning.
  8. Modify production orders in SAP as required.
  9. Prepare reports and charts for management utilizing SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and order scheduling software
  10. Keep management abreast of projects, vendor issues, workshops, pending problems and the financial impact
  11. Work closely with other departments within Aiken and similar departments in Rolls-Royce Power Systems to improve efficiencies and processes, coordinate tasks, and maintain positive working relationships
  12. Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  13. Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls- Royce Global Code of Conduct
  14. Perform special projects as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Logistics or Business; or 4 years of experience in logistics and/or materials management
  2. Good ability to manage multiple projects with competitive needs and deadlines
  3. Good organizational, planning and follow up skills
  4. Good analytical and problem solving ability when issues are complex
  5. Good knowledge of Material Requirements Planning systems and Production Scheduling
  6. Good interpersonal skills; must be able to build positive relationships and work effectively with others
  7. Good self starter with the ability to work extended periods without supervision and good personal drive, with can-do attitude
  8. Good oral, written and presentation communication skills
  9. Proficient with PC, SAP andMS Office Suite, with in depth Excel skills.

Preferred:
  1. Knowledge of MTU products, policies and procedures
  2. Knowledge of diesel engine manufacturing
  3. Familiar with SAP operating system

Work Environment:

This position has a traditional work schedule that requires five (5) eight (8) hour days during a Monday through Friday work schedule, as business requires.

While performing duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand, kneel, crouch, reach, and / or grasp. Next, an employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to manipulate small items such as a keyboard or mouse. Finally, an employee is also frequently required to walk within the work environment.
