Clinical Informatics Specialist

The Clinical Informatics Specialist works collaboratively with users of clinical information systems. Provides clinical expertise in the implementation and support of clinical information systems. Responsible for some or all aspects of planning, workflow redesign, implementation, optimization and support of clinical transformation efforts. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical documentation and ensures compliance.

Specific Training - Licensed clinical professional (e.g., RN, RT, Pharmacist) with BSN or equivalent clinical degree required. Advanced degree and/or informatics degree preferred. Clinical informatics certification preferred (e.g. ANCC Nursing Informatics certification)

Special Skills - Project Management preferred, quality/process improvement required. Outstanding communication skills, proven leadership abilities, project management experience a plus, punctual, organized and professional demeanor
