| Position Description | |
| We seek a Southeast Regional Representative to ensure the long-term effectiveness of NWF and its affiliates by building strong affiliate organizations, serving as staff liaisons with NWF board members, developing leadership for both organizations, and cultivating strong, movement building relationships to achieve national and regional conservation victories. Regional Representatives are also responsible for facilitating programmatic partnerships with our affiliates. The Regional Representative must have or quickly develop a deep understanding of the NWF-affiliate relationship and understand the crucial relationship between the health of our affiliates and NWF's long-term success. He or she must demonstrate the ability to work strategically and as a team player with both NWF staff and affiliate leaders.

| Position Requirements | |
| Qualified candidates must have a college degree; preference given to those with training and/or experience in non-profit organization capacity-building and management, grassroots organizing, and grassroots lobbying, with a focus on natural resources, environmental conservation and/or sportsmen's issues. Candidates must have at least five years of relevant experience in two or more of the following: conservation advocacy, volunteer and leadership development, public presentations, lobbying for state, local or federal legislation, nonprofit organizational development, grassroots organizing, board development, fundraising. The Southeast Regional Representative must possess exceptional people skills to build and maintain the kind of high level relationships needed to succeed at this job. He or she must have the ability to understand and successfully handle sensitive situations and people, perceive and leverage group dynamics and political undercurrents, ability to speak and understand Spanish fluently preferred but not required.
